Between the loop of her arm

and the side of her belly,

cradles George with yellow

satin, cape

a loose blue shirt

and powers of a hero.

Face is soft

matte velvet white,

the muzzle and head

in the wear of love

are grey like graphite.

One finger dug

deep

in voids

of her nose,

the love glue smeared

in concerns of care

palms clutch him close.
